I am a fully-qualified Blue Badge guide with experience all around Scotland. If you want to find out all about Scotland then I am the guide you need. I am proud of Scotland and its history and wear the kilt when I can! I have also lived in Spain and Italy and guide in Italian too, I have had a number of different work and cultural experiences and have a wide range of interests - with the history of Scotland being my top passion. I am also enthusiastic about the geography and nature of this wonderful country so I can also talk in detail about the wildlife that you will see when you are here. Another great interest of mine is Sport and in particular football and golf. I can’t wait to show you as much as possible in your time here and make sure that your stay was fun, enjoyable and that you have acquired a lot of knowledge about Scotland!
Mi chiamo Alan, sono di Edimburgo ma ho vissuto e lavorato per molto tempo in Italia prima di ritornare nella mia Scozia. Non e' una sorpresa quindi se sono una guida abilitata anche in Italiano!
Caratterialmente sono una persona molto curiosa, con diversi interessi ed una predilezione per la storia della Scozia ed in particolare per il periodo Giacobita. Sono un'entusiasta della geografia e della natura di questo fantastico paese. Mi interessa lo sport in particolare il golf e il calcio. Pertanto sara' un grande piacere farvi conoscere la Scozia, di assicurarmi che la vostra permanenza sia stata divertente, interessante e piacevole con la voglia di tornare.

St, Andrews
Famous for golfers everywhere, this marvellous wee town has so much to see. We can travel there easily from Edinburgh or Glasgow and explore the ruins of what was once the largest Cathedral in the British Isles. This is also a famous University town as well as the home of gollf - tell me what you want to see and we can have a fantastic day out..
Castles
There are well over 2,000 castles to visit - some magnificent ruins others sumptious homes. There are so many to explore and I can take you to ones that very few visitors see - all come with a fascinating tale !
Highlands & Islands
So much of Scotland is wild and seemingly untouched by human hand - from Glen Coe to the Isle of Skye, stunning landscapes are everywhere and there is so much to see and do - I would love to show you places where you will have a unique experience in the Highlands!
